A Day at the Domain is a fun and affordable family day out in the beautiful, historic Te Aroha Hot Springs Domain. With FREE entry and entertainment throughout the day, local crafters and artisans, coffee, ice cream and food trucks, there is something to delight young and old and everyone in between!
We have a great line up for 2025!
The committee have been working hard in the background for the last 6 months, securing entertainment and activities for the family to enjoy.
The FREE entertainment kicks off at 10am with the traditional opening of Domain Day with the BOP pipes.
On the band rotunda - Bak to Bak will entertain with popular tunes throughout the day.
11 am - Don't forget your favourite ted for the Teddy Bears Picnic. Make your way up to the BBQ near the playground for snacks and drinks before Enchanted Entertainment take the little ones for story time and games with Spiderman, Elsa and Moana!
11.15am - Wai Taiko Drummers will once again entertain all
12 pm - The Irish Dancers will be around with their toe tapping display
1 pm - Wai Taiko Drummers 2nd performance of the day
As well as all of our local crafters you'll also find our local Volunteer Fire and Rescue vehicle, Hato Hone St John, pickle ball demos, croquet demos, free facepainting, free bouncy castle for the little ones, vertical bungy and safari jeeps ride, lots of local community groups, local fundraising stalls, our committee fundraisers including mystery envelopes, sausage sizzle and candy floss, food trucks, coffee carts, ice cream and sunshine ☀️.
Don't forget, bring cash! Some of our stall holders will have eftpos, but not all.
Our food choices on the day include Taj Indian Restaurant, Delicious Dosa, NZ Momo, Bowls, Cups and Waffle, Spot on Ice-cream, Mind the Grind Coffee, Little Tasty Food Truck, Shots Coffee Cart, The Little Canteen, Star Food to Go, Aloha Shave Ice, Mr Whippy, Lil Orbits Donuts, St Marks Pavilion Tea Rooms and of course our committee will be running our fundraiser sausage sizzle, BLT and bacon butties plus candy floss!

Our community groups in attendance will include
Creative Fibre Waikato, PGF Services, Let Kids be Kids, Te Aroha Citizens Advice Bureau, Keep Te Aroha Beautiful, First Credit Union with their face painter, Axel Puga - SDA Church, Future Te Aroha, Perrin Guitar Tuition, Community Patrol, TA Lions with their fundraiser firewood raffle, Te Aroha Bridge Club, Twenty20 Netball will be here with their home baking fundraising stall, plus the ladies from St Marks Church Te Aroha will once again be running their tea rooms from the Domain Pavilion where you can get home made morning tea or lunch and a cuppa.
We'll also have Matamata-Piako libraries here with a selection of activities for the children.
The team from Hato Hone St John will be on site with some of their emergency vehicles and the crew from the Te Aroha Volunteer Fire and Rescue services will also be in attendance.
We'll also have a group from Our Village Garden: Te Kete o Te Aroha Inc, fundraising with sales of fresh seasonal produce and home made goodies.
Nancy the travelling caravan will be here together with staff from MPDC to engage in some fun games and community feedback.
The centerpiece of our Domain, Te Aroha & District Museum, will be open with FREE entry for the day. Come along to see their temporary display of memorabilia from TVNZ series The Gone, flied right here in Te Aroha! Plus the Te Aroha Croquet Club will be demonstrating their sport on the croquet lawns with have a go sessions.
Try your luck on our fundraiser Mystery Envelope stall. Amazing prizes, all donated by some of our local businesses!
The domain is going to be a busy place on Sunday 9th March! You can be sure of an amazing day for all!
